Preeclampsia

A complication of pregnancy that’s characterised by high blood pressure and high levels of protein in your urine (a sign of kidney damage), preeclampsia is most often diagnosed in the third trimester. It usually requires hospitalisation, bed rest or prompt induction of labour and symptoms can linger after birth.
