This section has nothing to do with birth and everything to do with the legalities of being a business. If you’re looking for it, here’s all the fine print and small details regarding competition winners, promotions and privacy policies.
Australian Birth Stories (ABN 49 707 541 644) (ABS) may occasionally run promotional offers for our customers, followers and website subscribers. These may be advertised through our social media accounts or offered by email. Such special offers may include, but are not necessarily limited to: special prices, discount codes, or other saving offers. Promotion offers will run for a limited time only and may have limitations to the offer as outlined at the time of the promotion of the offer. Discount codes must be entered at checkout, before proceeding to the payment page. No discounts will be applied retroactively. Promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Only one discount ‘coupon’ / ‘promo code’ can be used per transaction. ABS reserve the right to modify, suspend or cancel any promotion at any time, without notice.
ABS may occasionally act as a Promoter and conduct trade promotions, competitions or giveaways (“Competitions”). Competitions will be conducted in Victoria and in accordance with applicable compliance regulations. Instructions on how to enter each Competition forms part of these terms. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
All Competitions are open to entry by residents of Australia only who are aged 16 years and over and have an active personal Instagram and/or Facebook account, enabling them to submit an entry in accordance with the entry details specified in the post about the Competition.
Competitions promoted on ABS social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram, are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and/or Instagram.
Entrants agree that they are entering Competitions of ABS in a wholly private nature and are not entering on behalf of a business or enterprise activity. Unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions, no person may participate in a Competition on behalf of any third party.
An electronic program is used to randomly select winners of ABS Competitions. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. ABS will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. ABS will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of prizes, or for any compensation in relation to those prizes.
If the Competition is not capable of being conducted due to circumstances beyond ABS control, including due to any technical or communications problems, ABS reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition subject to approval from any relevant authority.
A winner in a Competition has rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other similar legislation, which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by ABS. These rights include a statutory guarantee that any goods will be of acceptable quality. These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify those statutory rights in any way. However, to the extent it is permitted by law to do so, ABS makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, other than the Australian Consumer Law, regarding the quality and suitability of the prize awarded under these terms and will not be responsible for breach of any such implied terms. ABS will sometimes engage in joint marketing activities, including Competitions with third party advertisers and sponsors.
By participating in any ASB Promotion or Competition, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use and disclose the personal information provided by the entrant for the purpose of conducting the Competition or any draw, and for any of the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy, which contains information about how you may access and seek correction of your personal information or complain about a breach of your privacy, and how the Promoter will deal with that complaint.
