Gestational Diabetes (GD) is a form of diabetes that occurs in pregnancy and it’s the fastest growing type of diabetes in Australia. It’s diagnosed through a Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) that your care provider will recommend you have between 24 and 28 weeks. If you’re at high risk for developing GD, your care provider may recommend testing earlier in your pregnancy, around 16 weeks.
